We provide innovative solutions to accelerate the transition to a low carbon world through innovative energy and environmental products.RoleThe operations assistant will work within a dynamic and growing Finance department, this is an exciting opportunity for a diligent and motivated individual with a meticulous attention to detail.The role is focused on cash and commodity operations and regulatory reporting. Working as part of asmall, dedicated operations team based in London, you will be exposed to a wide variety of taskscovering cash settlement and trade delivery, EMIR and REMIT reporting, commodity nominations andtrade/inventory reconciliation.Essential functions of this job:* Support the effective and efficient delivery of financial processing of high volume, high value, and time critical payments across jurisdictions.* Ensure accuracy and compliance with all regulatory aspects related to payments* Meet key deadlines at all times whilst ensuring work is delivered with accuracy and to a consistently high-quality.* Consistently meeting high standards of quality, performance, and productivity.* Provide ad hoc support to the wider finance team according to business needs.Skills and Experience required:* Degree level or equivalent with strong numeric skills* Excellent MS Excel skills* Good organisation and time management skills* Flexible with a proactive attitude towards work* Strong ability to multi-task and prioritise workload to meet deadlines* Thorough and diligent - good attention to detail* Collaborative team player* Knowledge of financial products (preferred)* Experience of working in energy utilities (preferred)Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
