The IT Support Technician works within the Business Change and Infrastructure (BCI) team. You will work with our outsourced managed service provider and various other suppliers to ensure the continuous operation of the company, IT and Business Systems.The role is primarily focused around providing day to day support including, but not limited to, infrastructure, desktops, laptops, IP telephony, managed print services, cloud services, basic networking, mobile device and user access management.The role requires level of end user interaction, much of which is face to face. You will also have the opportunity to assist with projects. Other duties include supporting disaster recovery environments, ensuring processes and procedures for business continuity and IT systems are kept up to date and relevant. The successful candidate will assist with the day to day operation and administration of our IT Infrastructure and key business systems include various bespoke applications.Key Individual Requirements & Competencies:- Good working knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 R2.- Good understanding of Microsoft packages, Office 2013 and 2016, Visio and Project, Skype for Business.- Good understanding of networking principles.- Experience with cloud services such as MS O365 Exchange Online, Email & web security.- Experience of Avaya IP telephony system.- A good eye for identifying and troubleshooting issues.- Preferably experience of but not essential: Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, MS Bitlocker Encryption, Windows Server Update Service, Active Directory, Canon UniFlow print management and Canon Therefore document management suite, Blackberry(Good) Works or Good MDM tool, Service Now Citrix XenDesktop, MS SQL and PowerShell.
