And we’re all able to make a positive impact - at Clorox, in our communities, and in the lives of millions of people who invite us into their homes.Make your mark and help us drive Good Growth - growth that is profitable, sustainable and responsible.Job Overview/SummarySuitable for a newly qualified or finalist ACCA/CIMA/ACA with 3-5 years related experience.Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Financial Accountant will coordinate and manage accounting processes related to the historical reporting of the legal entity.Key activities include managing, month end close, banking activities, VAT reporting, overseeing all cash transactions (AP &AR), and coordinating the monthly group consolidations process and balance sheet reconciliations.This individual will play a central role in supporting the Financial Controller on statutory audits, corporate policies and controls and intercompany activities. This role will deputise as and when for the Financial Controller, so will need the gravitas and ambition to be able to work within a demanding and fast moving business.This position has a high level of visibility and exposure to Europe and corporate finance leaders and will have opportunity to participate in cross-functional process improvement and special projects.Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains timely and accurate recording of all accounting transactions for the UK legal entity
  • Oversees all banking, credit card and cash transactions and support the AP/AR analyst in ensuring accurate and efficient recording of all payments and cash receipts
  • Manages the VAT and legal entity tax activities
  • Ensures best practice internal controls and accounting
    • Years and Type of ExperienceKey Skills, Abilities and Experience Required
  • Newly Qualified or Finalist ACCA/CIMA/ACA with 3-5 years related experience
  • Solid understanding of UK GAAP and financial statements and how to apply it efficiently.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to communicate information to Leadership and distill issues and risks.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, with attention to detail and data integrity.
  • Experience of statutory accounts preparation, government and tax returns, cash management
  • People management skills are desirable
  • Collaboration and Influencing skills

  • MS skills required (excel, word, powerpoint, etc.)
  • Concur, HFM, Netsuite and Essbase systems experience is desired
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
