Job Description

Kenny Recruit are representing an e-commerce retail company who have shown incredible growth over the last 6 years. They are currently going through a crowd fund round in another sign of their inevitable growth. In six years they have acquired more than150,000 customers and sold more than 500,000 items in the UK, the US and now Germany. They are actively recruiting a Data & Insight Analyst.As a Business Intelligence function, the aim is to distil data into simple and meaningful insights, and ensure stakeholders have the best self-serve tools available to make rapid decisions. You will work across all departments to best service the insightneeds of the entire business.Pay: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum + benefits (dependent on experience and qualifications)Location: Richmond (remote working offered with some days needed in the office)Working hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm (Very much judged on output rather than hours at computer screen)Key Responsibilities:Theyre a startup, so the brief is always changing - but heres an outline of what the role will involve:

  • Support team members with data analysis / visualisation tasks
  • Running regular reports that provide insight into ongoing company / departmental performance
  • Surfacing data and insights in Looker for stakeholders across the business
  • Working closely with Growth and Product teams, helping to establish analytical frameworks and measurement plans for any AB tests launched.
  • You will map customer segments, define metrics and help set optimisation goals to maximise the Lifetime Value of our customers.
  • Youll provide robust and easy to understand insight from your analysis, that can be used by both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Desirables:
  • At least 2-3 years of hands-on SQL experience - intermediate/advanced level required. This will be your day-to-day, so is a mandatory requirement of the role.
  • Proficiency with Python or R would be advantageous (or at least a willingness to develop these skills).
  • Proven experience of Customer Insights Analytics and strong understanding of Customer Lifetime Value, ideally in a start-up environment.
  • Ability to work independently to shape analytical problems and define testing methodologies.
  • Proven track record of creating actionable insight and recommendations which have driven business impact.
  • Commercial instincts and a natural sense for what matters, what moves the needle, what is actually viable, and how to prioritise it all.
  • Experience using data visualisation tools (ideally Looker).
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets.
  • An authentic interest in demonstrating the standard startup toolkit: initiative, energy, a high degree of comfort in an unstructured environment, and a willingness to work across a broad set of accountabilities.
