Job Description

A high profile international firm are recruiting for a key role within the Corporate Finance team, to take ownership of much of the CF responsibility as the business continues its plans to grow and acquire against their longer term strategic objectives.Reporting into the Head of Corporate Finance, this role will focus on analysing and developing the groups financing structures, along with assisting in the formulation of the groups capital structure, and developing and managing a team.Responsibilities

  • Pursue and evaluate financing arrangements with the provision of advice and challenge as necessary
  • Support the negotiation of financing deals, including cross-border structured financing, or any other instruments in order to secure funds on terms and conditions that are advantageous to the Group
  • Liaise with Legal, Accounting, Planning and Risk departments to ensure that all relevant implications in each of these areas are considered in the structuring of financing
  • Prepare submissions to the Group and Operating Companies Management Committee and the Boards of Directors to meet the Groups external financing requirements and policy objectives
  • Produce in depth analyses and formulate recommendations on the Groups capital structure, liquidity management and long-term capex affordability
  • Develop best practices within the team in terms of developing and maintaining financial models and analytical tools to assess funding requirements, financing structures and capital allocation
  • Responsible for regular corporate finance reports and update of credit rating analysis
  • Monitor and provide insight on financial market trends, transactions and competitor activities
  • Lead the credit ratings process and manage the relationship with rating agencies on behalf of Operating Companies (OpCos) and the Group Stakeholder Management
  • Act as key point of contact for the provision of information as necessary to other Operating Companies and Group departments, rating agencies, banks and law firms
  • Deputise for the Head of Group Corporate Finance as required
  • Develop and manage junior team members
To be a good fit for this role:
  • Professional finance qualification, Masters in finance or equivalent
  • Previous experience in corporate finance, treasury, banking or similar would be an advantage
  • Excellent understanding of corporate financing principles and techniques
  • Broad experience of financial modelling and analysis
  • Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and to deal and resolve conflicting interests, both internally and with external parties
