Job Description

Job Description The DSL has a unique opportunity for a talented Computer Science Teacher, who wants to be part of a modern, bilingual and dynamic school in a beautiful setting near Richmond.We seek to recruit a teacher who will work creatively with colleagues to engage students in the almost infinite potential of computer technology, emphasising the links between subject disciplines and technologies and maintaining high standards of achievementand engagement in the subject throughout the school.Computer Science is accommodated in a newly designed Computing Room.The subject is very well resourced, and expert management of the schools computer network supports innovative teaching in Computer Science and across the entire curriculum.Main Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for teaching pupils according to their educational requirements in the area (s) of Computer Science
  • To plan and prepare lessons and courses, using a variety of teaching methods
  • To endeavour to establish a good rapport with classes and to encourage good student practices
  • To attend departmental meetings
  • To participate in the development of materials, schemes of work, online resources and policies
  • To make effective use of available technologies (MS Teams etc.) to support continuity of learning 
Skills and Experience:
  • At least 3 years experience of teaching ICT / Computer Science at an international, bi-lingual Secondary School
  • Confident in a wide range of ICT skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of developments in the area of Computer Science/ ICT education and pedagogical practice
