Summary of RoleWe are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with Delphi expertise to join our growing engineering organisation (headquartered in Reigate, currently 175 heads globally) developing the ResQ Reserving Software. You will join us at an exciting time as we evolveour portfolio from desktop/on-premise towards cloud/SaaS, upgrading existing products to new technologies and modern UX.As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work as part of the ResQ product development team. You will play a key role creating new product features and enhancing existing code, whilst ensuring the product continues to meet high levels of reliability, maintainability,usability and performance. The RoleWork with the Product Owner to define, refine and deliver the product backlog,Design and document software solutions meeting functional and non-functional requirements,Implement and refactor product Delphi code following best practices for maintainability, testability and performance.Implement unit tests, develop test frameworks and associated automated test cases,Review and debug code to identify defects, performance bottlenecks or technical debt,Participate in sprint planning meetings, daily stand-ups and sprint retrospectives, striving to continuously improve the team velocity, its processes and engineering practicesThe RequirementsWe are looking for Software Engineers with strong Delphi experience to complement our existing team, hence candidates will need to demonstrate:Proficient programming the Delphi languageAdept at problem solving in a software engineering contextExperience with software engineering best practices.Experience with software development tools: IDEs, version control, continuous integrationEqual Opportunity Employer
