The salary for this role is £36,989 - £40,146 per annum, based on working 36-hours per week.Are you an experienced and enthusiastic auditor Do you have excellent interpersonal and communication skillsIf so, we could have the right job for you!We are currently looking for a Senior Auditor within the Orbis Internal Audit partnership, based at Surrey County Council.Who are Orbis Internal AuditOrbis Internal Audit is a unique concept, providing Internal Audit and Counter Fraud services across East Sussex County Council, Brighton & Hove City Council and Surrey County Council. We are unique in that the entire team delivers work not only to theirown sovereign authority but also to other partners, clients and customers, maximising the impact, efficiency and effectiveness of our service and resources. This creates great opportunities for everyone within the service to learn and understand how differentorganisations work.We are responsible for providing assurance to our clients in relation to governance, risk management and control, adding value to our organisations through the work that we do. Our service is highly respected across our customers and clients.In November 2022, the Orbis Internal Audit service was externally assessed against the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards by the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors. This covers an assessment of compliance with the Professional Standards, benchmarkingagainst best practice, and an assessment of Internal Audits profile and impact within client organisations. We were assessed as achieving the highest level of conformance available against the Standards and were deemed Excellent in our reflection of thestandards and our focus on performance, risk and adding value.At the time of this advert, we currently work on a hybrid basis, with an expectation that everyone within our service will share time between working from one of our available offices and from home.Interviews will be undertaken in person from Woodhatch Place, Reigate, Surrey.What experience or qualifications do I needWe are looking for auditors with experience within Internal Audit who are looking to make the next move up the career ladder. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to maintain great client relationships. An ability to complete audit workof sufficient quality within agreed timeframes and budgets is crucial.
