Job Description

The starting salary for this role is £41,127 per annum based on a 36 hour working week. This position is offered as a 12 month fixed-term contract or secondment opportunity.This role is open toagile or hybrid workingmeaning you arent required in the office 5 days a week. Fundamentally this is about working practice and goes beyond the location in which we workhaving the freedom and flexibility to workwhen and where as needed.Our focus on results, outcomes and collaboration is enabled by high levels of trust and accountability in our people. We support our people to work where they are most effective, this can be remotely from a variety of locations including SCC offices, homeor any other suitable location. We are a creative and forward-thinking team with an exciting and high-priority agenda to grow talent for the future, develop our leaders to drive cultural transformation and inclusion by creating opportunities to join Surrey County Council through our EarlyCareers projects.With a packed portfolio across the team and wider People and Change service we are looking for an Early Careers and Talent Project Manager who can lead on the scoping, planning and implementation of the following:
  1. Creating an enhanced pre-employment offer for local young talentthrough partnering with local training providers to design and implement pre-employment opportunities. This might include Traineeships/Pre-Employment Schemes, Work Placementsand Internships to meet both the needs of local young people and the ambitions of the council
  2. Developing Early Careers pathways: Supporting the ambition to inspire and grow the councils workforce of the future by designing an Early Careers Framework to connect and promote Early Careers pathways. This will to include all of thethe pre-employment and post-employment opportunities already in progress and contribute to our ambition to be an employer of choice for young people.
About You: You will be an experienced and engaging project manager, a strong relationship builder and take an organised planned approach to work.
