Imagine loving what you do and where you do it.Target Openings1Job Description SummaryWe are looking for an Underwriting Analyst to join us in any of our UK or Ireland Offices on a 6 month fixed term contract. You will have previous underwriting experience, and use this to support the Underwriting Officers in executing key strategies across the UK and Ireland.In this role you will be responsible for monitoring KPI’s across the Property and Casualty portfolios and compiling summary reports, adding analysis and commentary for monthly and quarterly business reviews. You will produce reports in various formats depending on the target audience – this will vary from updating field underwriters on progress against specific line of business initiatives to compiling data for regulatory returns.We aim to offer an inclusive and flexible approach to how and when you work, as well as good work-life benefits.   • Supports the CUO, NUO’s and RUO’s to provide reporting and analysis to various stakeholders.
  • Prepares the analysis and gather data to monitor the execution of company underwriting policies and standards.
  • Works closely with Actuarial, Business Intelligence, Catastrophe Modelling and Product and Portfolio staff to ensure that data for reporting is accurate and timely.
  • May collect and analyse claims data to determine if claims initiatives are aligned with product line strategy.
  • Produces an LOB production highlights summary (rate change/ORPC/NB in an agreed format.
  • Reviews the weekly claims movement reports and new business description reports highlighting any issues to NUO’s/RUO’s
  • Produces a monthly rate strength summary, by LOB for NB and renewals
  • Producing a report of material changes of PD/BI exposures – new business/lapses/significant MTA’s to supply to Cat Modelling for monthly reporting
  • Reviews underwriting guidance within the Underwriting Centre to ensure it remains up to date and relevant
  • Undertakes technical research on topics identified by the Underwriting Officers
  • Supports CUO TIDAC on reporting issues
  • Analysis of the referrals database
  • Reviews and updates continuous monitoring data prior to the monthly UW Controls meeting
  • Supports the process for compiling regulatory returns on underwriting issues (e.g. Central Bank of Ireland flood reporting)
  • Production of a report to monitor first and third party cyber exposures.
  • Works collaboratively with the Business Insurance Underwriting Officers to
  • Build strong partnerships across the Travelers group to allow the optimum use of resource and continuing leverage of enterprise investment.
  • Undertakes any other reasonable duties.

  • ACII, Advanced Level competency – Property & Casualty Underwriting
  • Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher education level preferred
  • Previous proven track record of leading others at a senior underwriting level
  • Licensing or Certificates
