Job Description

The Company:

  • Operating in the luxury manufacturing market, you would be joining a company where customer services is at the centre of the business.
  • The business has a vision to grow significantly over the coming years keeping up with the trend they have achieved in the last 5 years.
The Role of the Senior Buyer
  • Managing the full P2P process (Raising orders, acknowledgement, queries resolution, etc).
  • Point of escalation for chasing and expediting orders with suppliers.
  • Obtaining and processing purchase requests.
  • Ensuring the optimum maintenance of data in the ERP (price, dates, quantities, etc) as well as identifying and raising technical queries with the ERP developer.
  • Liaise daily with Operations, Project and Warehouse (quality, queries, reporting, etc).
  • Looking after the high-value projects and fast-track orders from inception to completion, along with the Operations and Projects Team.

The Ideal Person for the Senior Buyer
  • Totally customer orientated with creative problem solving skills working as part of a team.
  • Experience of purchasing in a high volume, high pressure role.
  • Able to demonstrate working with an ERP or MRP system..
  • High EQ - Good at managing different personalities from cottage industry craftsman to large corporations.
  • Hard worker prepared to role up sleeves and get stuck in.
  • Organised and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
  • Construction and or manufacturing would be an advantage.
  • Professional but friendly.
