Critical Care Outreach and Resuscitation Practitioner - band 7Full time postA new exciting opportunity has arisen for a Critical Care Outreach and Resuscitation Practitioner joint role in the friendly and highly regarded Critical Care Outreach and Resuscitation teams at SASH; they will be responsible for overseeing the high standards of care and training required for looking after the acutely deteriorating/critically ill patients.The practitioner led team provides care to critically ill and deteriorating patients, alongside the delivery of a skilled resuscitation service that provides a robust resuscitation training programme, and contributes to audit, quality improvement and patient safety across the Trust. As a Critical Care Outreach and Resuscitation practitioner you will be required to demonstrate advanced clinical assessment skills and develop extensive knowledge of management of deteriorating patientsThe role also includes a strong educational element with the delivery of resuscitation training to all grades of Trust staff, in both adult and paediatric settings.As well as providing resuscitation training sessions / courses you will be expected to respond to Medical Emergencies and Cardiac Arrest calls (adult & Paediatric) as a skilled member of the resuscitation teams. For this challenging and rewarding role we are looking for proactive, enthusiastic and caring individuals. The post holder will have excellent interpersonal skills, as well as broad experience within the Critical Care setting.Experience of working at Band 6 level is essential as is a Critical Care or equivalent professional qualification. You should have excellent teaching skills, hold relevant resuscitation training provider courses, and be able to demonstrate structured teaching skills.
