I am urgently seeking an experienced credit controller for a key client of mine based in Redhill (office based role). This is a 7month temporary contract to cover a period of maternity leave.The team you will work in is repsonsible forcollection & management of debt on the Major Account ledger with aturnover £1.7bn per year.Individually responsible for a defined portfolio of accounts, split by customer type & sector.Strong relationship management, external & internal customers.Duties as the credit controller include: Ensure collection procedures are administered in accordance with company & departmental policies. Methodical approach to review & prioritisation of ledger debt daily. Timely completion of departmental processs & controls; workflow, cashflow, month end analysis, no remits. Collection of Manual Direct Debits when due, and act upon any rejected DDs immediately. Continuously build & develop customer relationships. Identify accounts for escalation and submit proposals to Team Leader for further action. Liaise with other departments to ensure that issues are resolved quickly & correctly, to assist customer in payment. Provide cover for team representatives on all active Gas & Power ledgers when absence occurs. Responsibility for managing their activities to ensure all relevant HSE risks are appropriately mitigated.This is ahighly targeted & results driven environment. As the credit controller you adhereto processes, demonstrate initiative, and take responsibility to achieve yourindividual objectives.QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIREDIn depth knowledge of credit control procedures with 5 years experience in a similar role.Strong organisational skills & methodical and logical problem solving abilities.Excellent communication skills with the ability to remain calm & courteous under all circumstances.
