Job Description

1st Line Engineer, £17,000 - £22,000 If you have at least 1 year experience working with desktop support, including helping to solve software and hardware incidents at first point of contact then this role could be for you. Looking for someone to join a successful IT client of mine who specialise in providing support to SMEs and the educational sector. You will need to possess a DBS clearance or have the ability to gain one without hassle.The role:

  • Troubleshoot desktop and system problems, diagnose and solve hardware/software incidents/problems
  • Incident and problem management
  • Provide exceptional service support to internal and external customers
  • Provide solution(s)/work around(s) to incident and problems
  • Contribute to policies, processes and procedures
  • Install, maintain and support new applications / solutions / hardware / software
  • Prioritizing and managing several open tickets and projects at one time
  • Trend analysis and problem management
  • Establishing a good working relationship with customers and 3rd partys
  • Keeping accurate records and site documentation
  • Keeping accurate time entries on ConnectWise
  • Other activities may include:
  • Keeping up to date with advancements in technology
  • Review of services, application delivery, patching and Anti-virus
  • Ensuring appropriate standard and procures are adhered to during the development process to support a quality of service to customers
  • Work with a variety of company and technical teams to enhance service or to develop solutions
  • Systems monitoring
  • Supporting users on both hardware and software applications
  • Administer backups and restores
  • Carry out any other reasonable request made by the Company
  • Skills Required:
  • At least one year IT Support experience
  • Familiar working with SLAs
  • Experience working with customers directly via face to face or telephone contact
  • Confident and clear speaking
  • MS Office
