Job Description

Shift Supervisor Redditch Salary up to £29,991 (dep on exp)3 x 12.5hr day shiftsA rapidly growing FMCG manufacturing business based in Redditch is now seeking a Shift Supervisor to join their expanding management team. The pace of growth means theyre heavily involved with the implementation of LEAN methodologies. Therefor they are increasing their headcount by adding like-minded individuals who can help improve their processes, to ensure they continue to hit increasingly demanding targets.Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, you will support with the management of 6 Production Lines and Team Leaders and 30 Production Operatives. Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and drive performance across the shift
  • Ensure correct deployment of staff
  • Lead and effectively manage a team of team leaders
  • Check and observe compliance on each production line to achieve efficiency
  • Complete all quality control documentation accurately and clearly start and end of shift
  • Apply Continuous Improvement techniques such as 5 Whys to problem solving with your team
  • 100% compliance with Safety Regulations, quality, housekeeping, and safety systems
  • Work with production manager and the technical team to ensure forward planning
  • Shift handovers with other supervisors
    • Previous experience in a similar role or in a food-based manufacturing environment would be an advantage, with a proven track record in delivery of high efficiency standards.This role offers a competitive salary as well as a stable career path.
