Job Description

Role: Setter/Operator - Bending MachinesPay: Negotiable depending on experienceMonday-FridayWe are seeking an experienced Setter/Operator who ideally has exposure to working with Unison manuftured machines (or a close to as possible) to join a reputable engineering company in Redditch. The role is to cover a period of sickness and will likely be for up to 12 weeks.Roles reposibilities for Setter/Operator:

  • Setting and Operating equipment such as but not limited to: CNC Bending machines
  • Materials include Stainless Steel, Inconel, Titanium, Aluminium tubes, sheet, coil and extrusion.
  • Following of Data Cards, process specifications, Engineering Drawings, Standard Work Instructions
  • This role will also require the use of measurement equipment
  • Able to inspect own work including but not limited to fit to fixture/ tooling/ gauges
  • Pre and post operations as required including but not limited to: cutting, guillotine, sizing, facing, polishing, linishing, heat treatment, hand press, cleaning, and packing.
  • Active participation in Safety and Continuous Improvement actives
    • Experience required for Setter/Operator:
  • Previous experience with above listed equipment is preferable
  • CNC Setting/Operating experience with Bending machines is essential
  • Ideally you will have experience working with Unison Bending machines (or similar)
  • General Computer Skills for access to drawings and procedures preferred
  • Reliable, hard working and able to work under pressure
