A Quality Manager has two main roles in any manufacturing business - being a technical expert, and being the drive and motivation behind the team.Youll report into the Plant Manager at the facility in Redditch, and drive compliance within the plant whilst ensuring the Quality department is best-in-class.Client DetailsYou will be joining a medical device manufacturer with significant volume and product variation. They have the backing and support of a wider group, but the facility is run independently and retains financial and strategic independence.DescriptionAs a Quality Manager, you will be a pivotal member of the management team in the facility, reporting both into the Plant Manager as well as into the Regional VP Quality.We want you to bring your energy and enthusiasm to the position, coaching and development the quality team which currently consists of two specialists working in Regulatory Affairs & Technical, three QC inspectors, and a Quality Engineer.Youll draw upon your ISO13485 and QMS experience to ensure audit-readiness, and ensure technical files and documentation are prepared and recorded accurately and effectively. Youll bring your knowledge of external bodies such as FDA and MHRA to the business to ensure these audits go smoothly and accreditations are retained.Alongside the technical aspects and documentation, youll ensure all products meet required quality standards prior to despatch, and drive continuous improvement methodologies to reduce failure rates.In summary, youll be the Quality Manager for the full scope of the facility, ranging from NPI through to despatch of final product.ProfileYou dont necessarily need to be a Quality Manager right now, but youll definitely be a font of knowledge when it comes to medical device manufacturing, ISO13485 accredited environments, MDR and technical documentation.Maybe youre a Senior Quality Specialist mentoring somebody more junior, or maybe youre a proven Quality Manager already but want to turn your hand to a higher volume of product.Either way, lets have a conversation.Job OfferYoull be provided with the autonomy to run the department as you see fit, alongside an attractive salary and benefits.
