Job Description

  • To provide a portering and messenger service, including the transfer of patients and visitors between wards and departments including A&E admissions to wards and transfers between A&E, X-ray and wards.
  • To collect and deliver a range of goods including, drugs, bloods, furniture, feed bottles, case notes, specimens, x-rays and medical gas cylinders.
  • To be responsible for the regular and sufficient removal of general, recycling and clinical waste.
  • To ensure all waste streams are segregated, handled, and disposed of in line with the site requirements.
  • To comply with the health and safety procedures when moving waste around the site.
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.Youll have the following skills/experience:
  • Happy to be in a fast-paced physical role
  • Eye for detail
  • A good understanding of spoken and written English.
  • Trained in Manual Handling
  • Excellent communication skills
