Job Description

Whether you have taught Painting and Decorating in a classroom before, or have lengthy on-site experience as a Painter and Decorator, we want to hear from you!We are searching for a Painting and Decorating Trainer to take on this fantastic opportunity in one of the prisons we are supporting.This prison is based in Redditch and prides itself in its forward thinking nature. The prison are commited to driving education, with a friendly team of passionate staff who thouroughly enjoy working there.Role Details:

  • Full Time- 37 hours Per Week
  • Working hours 8am-5pm Monday-Thursday, 8am-12pm Friday
  • Permanent position
  • £24073- £30428 p/a PLUS benefits!

  • Teach designated hours as required, with a flexible approach to delivering across curriculum areas as needed to fulfil contractual requirements
  • Develop or contribute to Schemes of Work and develop lesson plans to ensure compliance with curriculum best practice and quality targets
  • Contribute to Individual Learning Plans and the processes for additional learner support
  • Contribute to curriculum development
  • Ensure the safeguarding of learners
  • Work collaboratively with Functional skills tutors/Learning Support Practitioners to support literacy, language and numeracy skills within the programme.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Must hold Level 2 in Painting & Decorating or other relevant qualification
  • Must have experience training others in this subject (in any capacity)
  • Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Gain/hold and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
