Walters People have partnered with a leading business based in Redditch in the recruitment of a Finance Assistant on a permanent basis. The role will be paying between £20-30k based on experience.Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:* Weekly sales production.* Prepayments and accruals and posting relevant journals.* Balance Sheet control accounts reconciliations.* Daily/Weekly bank reconciliations for 2 GBP accounts, Euro, and Dollar account.* Assist with Management Accounts & year end audit.* Ensure that sales & purchase ledgers are correctly maintained & that outstanding issues/queries are cleared in a timely manner.* Responsibility for management of supplier debit & credit notes.* Maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers.* Assist with Physical Stock Takes.* Ad hoc analysis & review of financial information.* Support Head of Finance.* Ad hoc work / projects as required.About you as the Finance Assistant* Relevant practical experience with an analytical mindset.* Able to use numbers commercially to help pro-actively drive benefit through the business.* Retail experience preferred but not essential.* Effective communication skills at all levels.* Flexible with a positive "can-do" attitude.* Microsoft Office experience to complex modelling level (used to dealing with data manipulation).* Able/willing to be involved in all aspects of the finance function.Robert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
