Job Description

A manufacturer of high-end and high-value components sold to both Automotive and Yellow Goods clients globally is now seeking an Engineering Manager to join their team. This is a business that has invested heavily into its modern-day manufacturing facilityand the staff who have enabled it to push the boundaries in recent years.   • Provide technical support to the production and engineering staff within the operation and maintenance of jigs, fixtures, tooling and assemblies.
  • Oversee the diagnosis of faults, the maintenance and repairs to all types of plant equipment.
  • Analyse production processes, methods, schedules, downtime, layouts, availability of machines, and waste management.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities and empower staff with the correct direction.
  • Ensure that H&S and Quality Management Systems are adhered to.
Engineering Manager desirable skills and experience -
  • Experience working within a similar role (Manufacturing Manager, Maintenance Manager etc).
  • A proven track record of success in leading and motivating teams.
  • A hands-on, "get things done" attitude.
  • Proactive work ethic and self-motivation to drive continuous improvement.
  • Relevant manufacturing/mechanical engineering education (HND/HNC).
