Our client is a small, family-run business based in Redditch. They work for residential customers across the Midlands as well as business clients on a national scale, offering the following services: data and telecoms cabling, Wi-Fi, VoIP, 4G and fibre splicing.Due to continued success and growth they are currently looking for a full-time data cabling, Wi-Fi and telephone engineer; they will consider taking on an employee or a self-employed contractor for the right candidate. Role· Data cabling in commercial environments (including the installation of comms cabinets and patch panels) · Data cabling in domestic properties (to facilitate the installation of Wi-Fi solutions)· Installing, testing and relocating telephone lines and telecoms infrastructure in both commercial and domestic environments· Installing wireless network solutions· Installing 4G solutions· Installing cable links between distribution points and customer Installing CCTV and security systems· Fibre splicingDesired Qualities/Skills· Reliability: reliability and punctuality are what our clients expect from us and are essential in ensuring that we continue to meet our clients needs· Flexibility: our work is nationwide, so being willing to travel is essential (out of hours work/overnight stays may be required on occasion)· Positive attitude to work: our projects are varied and dynamic so a positive, ‘can-do’ approach is essential· Hard working, meticulous and presentable· Full, clean driver’s license· Meticulous approach to cabling and cable containment· Awareness of general health and safety procedures and ability to take instructions from site managers where necessary· Fibre splicing experience (desirable) · Surveying experience (desirable)· Computer literacy and computer networking skills (essential)· Experience in CCTV installation (desirable)· Able to work as part of a team as well as independently· CSCS/ECS card (desirable)· Ex-BT/Open Reach experience (desirable)Benefits and ProspectsThe successful Data Cabling Engineer candidate will have the use of a company van and tools.Development of skillset: opportunity to work with experienced engineers, often for very high-profile companies.Competitive Salary (approx. £28,000 – £35, 000) dependent on experience and skillsetIf you think you have the skills and experience my client is looking for then please do not hesitate to call Michelle on or alternatively click APPLYOur client is a small, family-run business based in Redditch.
