CMM OperatorShift Pattern: NightsLocation: RedditchSalary: £17.62 + Shift AllowanceOur client is currently looking for a CMM Operator to join their Redditch site where they design, manufacture, and assemble precision forged and machined components for a variety of industries. Theres probably more forging and machining expertise on the sitethan anywhere else in the World and successful candidates will have the opportunity to produce components for industry leaders such as Rolls-Royce, Boeing, and Airbus.The CMM Operator will support the manufacturing and quality departments by carrying out dimensional inspection using a Coordinate Measuring Machine. The software is PC-DMIS, so the position will ideally suit candidates with previous experience of this, butcandidates with experience of other packages will be considered.Main Responsibilities of the CMM Operator:*Initial Sample Inspection Reports*General Measurements for production processes*Filing and controlling records*To ensure the safe operation of CMM Machines*Understand the principles of CMM and their usage*Delivery of measured components in line with customer requirements*Support New Part Introduction Process*Influence Machine Utilisation and Right First Time Measures.*Ensure product quality and batch traceability is maintained at all times*Carry out routine checks on all equipment*Ensure all documentation is recorded accurately as defined by procedures.*Maintain housekeeping in the department to company standards.*Calibration of gauges and fixturesAn ideal Candidate should have the following:*Proven experience in CMM Operation (PCDMIS software preferred)*Ability to write programmes would be advantageous.*Good understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings, specifications and geometric tolerance.*Experience of an automotive / aerospace manufacturing environment.*Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control.If you feel you are a great fit for the role, please click apply and one of our consultants will be in touch.
