OverviewWe are currently seeking a diligent and aspiring Assistant Accountant to join our esteemed Construction firm situated in the beautiful countryside, just outside of Redditch. As the Assistant Accountant, you will have the privilege of working closely witha seasoned, but small team, providing invaluable support across a spectrum of month end and transactional financial responsibilities.Your commitment to learning and your unwavering dedication to precision in numbers will be of paramount importance in this role. This position offers an exceptional opportunity for an individual eager to progress down the line into a Management Accountantrole as the business continues to flourish. You will be getting stuck with the fixed assets, balance sheet reconciliations and assiting with budget setting.Skills Required

  • Demonstrated understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices in accruals and prepayments
  • Strong collaboration skills are imperative. We seek a candidate who thrives in a small team environment, adept at problem-solving and contributing to collective success.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a prerequisite, as you will be tasked with data analysis and manipulation, necessitating a proficient grasp of spreadsheet software.
  • Pursuit of accounting qualifications such as ACCA/CIMA is highly valued.
