Robert Walters: Assistant Accountant - Redditch - Permanent - £25,000 - £35,000 - HybridIm currently working alongside a leading business based in Redditch in their recruitment of a Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the assisting of external reporting processes and providing admin support to the financialreporting team.Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant:* Manage the administration of the balance sheet reconciliation process* Assist in improving quality of balance sheet reconciliations across the business * Support with the development of the annual subsidiary stats using OneSource software* Assist FR team with generating monthly reports required in SAP/BW* Support with the roll out of the Group Data Platform and become trained in the new Power BI tool* Assist with the administration of the audit process * Performing cash reconciliations and liaising with the team to ensure all documentation is complete and accurate* Support consolidation process monthly* Manage the input of leases onto Qube* Running some of the month end calculations * Support improvement projects such as the intercompany process* Finance business partner for the transformation team* Support the transition of fixed asset to a fully group functionAbout you as the Assistant Accountant:* 2-3 years experience in a similar role is essential* Actively studying ACCA/CIMA and wanting to become a chartered accountant* Great attention to detail* Ability to challenge and drive through change* Experience using either OneSource or Qube software (preferable)* Ability to quickly build effective working relationships and internal networksCompany benefits:* Competitive salary plus benefits (Bonus, pension, life assurance etc.) * 25% colleague discount across the business* Access to a wide-range of discounts on every day goods, financial products and services* Becoming a member of our engagement committee and diversity and inclusion working groupsIf you want to be considered for this role, all applicants must submit CVs online or send toRobert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
