About the role:This role is a 5 months maternity cover, involving understanding growth and planning the future for wastewater systems (network and process) in the Thames Valley. The system planning team identify risk, carry our systems reviews, scope up investigations and integrates those outputs into a System Plan that feeds current and future expenditure. We are focussed on ensuring that our system can perform as it needs to, considering population growth, climate change and asset deterioration. We also look to improve the performance of our systems by reducing flooding and pollution as well as improving the rivers that we discharge into.The role includes stakeholder liaison and providing updates on customer issues. We carefully consider the impact of our activities on the communities and environment that we operate in.Working in a collaborative team, key areas of accountability will include: As this role is maternity cover, it focuses on a few key areas of accountability undertaken by the System Planning Team to enable a sounds basis for the System Planner role.
