You’ll be able to enhance your knowledge of operation systems and reporting whilst improving your personnel management experience and getting involved at a senior level.You’ll discover an outstanding working environment where we promote a healthy and positive work/life balance with a start early/finish early ethos as well as various charity and community-based initiatives.So, if you are looing for that vital next step in industry and want that step to be with a thriving construction company, this is the role you’ve been waiting for.The RoleAs the Deputy Financial Controller, you will focus your efforts on revenue application, credit control and financial and management reporting, in addition to the wider application of financial best practice across the company.You will take ownership of a number of financial systems and controls and will be targeted on the monthly management accounts process, adoption of a secure cash-flow model for the group and the improvement of debt management and reduction of overdue debt by 25%.Dealing with revenue and debtor processes, you will oversee the work of the Assistant Accountant and play an active role in both debt management and the revenue application process.Your role will also involve:- Producing management accounts for review by the Finance Director- Managing R&D tax credit and patent box workings and information- Undertaking comprehensive forecasting- Completing statutory accounts, audit and tax work- Standing in for the Finance Director as required- Seeking to implement better reporting and working practices where necessaryAbout YouTo be considered as a Deputy Financial Controller, you will need:- To be qualified (or QBE) with relevant experience within a construction or project related business- Exposure to taking ownership of the monthly management accounts process- To be a competent Excel user to pivot table/VLOOKUP level- To be a highly effective communicator and influencer at all levels- To be willing to carry out all levels of the monthly accounting processes- The ability to understand the broader picture of business operations beyond financeOther organisations may call this role Management Accountant, Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Finance Manager, Accountancy Manager, Accounts Manager, Accountant, Financial Accountant, or Qualified Accountant.Webrecruit and Sapphire Balconies are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment.
