Company description:Exertis UK Ltd.Job description:To Provide 3rd line Windows Server Support and Management across a multi-site organisation. To ensure Windows services are maintained, secure and highly available to the Exertis UK Staff and business partners where applicable.Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide 3rd Line End User/Business support and professional service levels to all of the UK based staff and partners.
  • Support and administration of all Windows server and desktop based services.
  • Drive, motivate and enhance the technical knowledge of the lower support levels.
  • Working with IT Infrastructure Manager, develop and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • Maintain/enhance Windows security.
  • Act as project lead for windows systems management.
  • Install, Configure & Deploy Windows HA server solutions, maintain and support backup systems, whilst maintaining strong levels of security.
  • Respond to IT incidents in a timely and professional manner dealing with escalations, meeting SLA and KPI’s
  • Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the DCC Code of Conduct.
  • Personal SkillsThe successful candidate will show strong technical and communication skills whilst displaying a willingness to succeed. As well as being organised and must conform to good/best practice.Essential Skills
  • Expert knowledge of Active directory
  • Advanced knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WDS, WSUS, Print, File and IIS.
  • Advanced knowledge Virtualisation VMware & Hyper-V.
  • Exchange 2013 Exchange 365 Hybrid (CAS, Mailbox, Frontend Roles)
  • SQL Server 2005 onwards
  • Confident using SAN/NAS technologies.
  • Backup Solutions
  • CrowdStrike and Symantec Endpoint Protection (Server/Client).
  • Advanced Office 365 knowledge and Experience
  • Management of policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge and deployment experience of GPO
  • Experienced in Windows licensing practices.
  • Expert understanding of hardware and technologies.
  • Desirable Skills
  • MCSE/MCITP – 2012 or later.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practice.
  • ERP/EWM Application Support – Oracle/SAP.
  • Experience with Service Desk software – Manage Engine
  • SolarWinds Log and Event Manager.
  • PowerShell Scripting.
  • Change management and release management experience.
