Job Description

Howdens Joinery are looking for an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join our digital architecture team.This role offers a confident and engaging Senior Solution Architect, an excellent opportunity to lead a small team of solutions architects in the delivery of high-quality digital solutions and architectural designs.Permanent role you can be based from either our offices in Croxley Park, Watford or Raunds office in Northamptonshire 2-3 days week with home workingWhat will I be doing as a Senior Solution Architect

  • Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, you will be working on several interesting digital transformation projects and therefore you’ll need to have strong solution design experience in a highly complex enterprise scale-based environment in multiplechannels, e.g. Stores Depots, Online, Customer and Payment systems.
  • This person will be able to effectively align Business, Data, Integration, Security, Application and underlying Technology to design robust digital solutions.
  • The role will involve working closely with business stakeholders, product management, business analysts, lead developers, systems engineers, project managers and the wider architecture community to deliver viable, high-quality designs to the developmentand delivery teams.
What we need from you:
  • Able to lead, manage and develop a small team of Solutions Architects
  • Digital, e-Commerce and/or Retail business and solutions experience
  • Lead and support the Design authority in highly complex enterprise scale environments in ecommerce, supply chain, depot, customer and payment systems
  • Confident, engaging, and a strong work ethic with a passion for transformation and innovation
  • Practical experience on online applications developments, content management platforms, eCommerce platforms, Payments, CRM, and mobile applications
  • Experience of working within a Lean Agile project methodology
  • Able to support the overall business strategy, transformation, and technology direction
  • Working understanding of integration platforms and various techniques to integrate systems
  • Working understanding of modern integration and cloud hosting platforms
  • Understanding and good working knowledge of TOGAF architecture methodology
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and architectural trends
