Job Description

Due to an internal move, Howdens Joinery have an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment Coordinator to join our friendly and fast paced recruitment team. Were going through an exciting period of transformation and growth, and this role offers you an excellentopportunity to provide an exceptional level of administrative support to the recruitment team.This is a permanent role where you will be the first point of contact for recruitment enquiries, managing some aspects of our recruitment activity and taking ownership for delivering a positive candidate and hiring manager experience through the administrationof the hiring process. Were flexible on the location of this role and it could be based in either our Croxley Park office in Hertfordshire or our Raunds or Northampton offices in Northamptonshire. An excellent communicator, you will need to confidently buildrelationships and promote our culture and organisation in an engaging manner.What you will be doing:

  • Providing an excellent administration service to the recruitment team through inbox management, invoice processing, answering queries and providing accurate data.
  • Taking ownership for maintaining the applicant tracking system, setting up new users and recruitment agencies and ensuring that all information is accurate and up to date.
  • Maintaining and updating the recruitment tracker to ensure that recruitment management information is continually updated and is accurate.
  • Advertising vacancies through our applicant tracking system and across our job boards and other channels within agreed timescales and SLA.
  • Screening applicants through sifting applications, booking in meetings for the recruitment team and responding to applicant queries.
  • Scheduling interviews with candidates, booking rooms and confirming travel details.
  • Ensuring all recruitment documentation for new starters is accurate and complete to ensure legal compliance and maintain accurate data.
  • Taking ownership of candidate check in calls to ensure smooth onboarding and track of new starters.
  • Ensuring handoffs between the various teams of activity is seamless throughout onboarding.
  • Supporting with the co-ordination of assessment centres and careers and graduate fairs.
What you will bring:

  • Strong relationship building skills and can work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Highly organised, able to multi-task and has exceptional time management skills.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
  • Articulate with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Methodical approach to work with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a discreet manner whilst handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on attitude, flexible and adaptable.
  • Experience of working within a fast-paced environment and within tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience of working within a recruitment team and using Applicant Tracking Systems and Online Job Boards would be desirable.
