To lead the Site with a clear strategic vision of Stock Management.Key accountability areas1Actively work to:Build relationships of trust between Customers and Operations ManagersReview and plan space Capacity at Raunds based on ForecastsWorking with the Customer and Management Team to ensure strategic plan is aligned to customer contractual targets and manage expectations.Monitor and communicate any risks with caveats and mitigation.Demonstrate Project Management and assist with Site Projects from an Inventory perspective.Reduce Pick Walks to improve productivity. tasks to Ensure are completed within the TeamIdentify dead / obsolete stockIdentify and remove EOL o Manage and monitor BBDReduce Damages o Introduce best practise for managing any Promotional activityEnsure that SUSPENSE is investigated and reducedEnsure PI Schedule is achieved for each Customer, Free Space Checks are achieved, monitored, recorded and investigatedEnsure Pick faces are available for all current SKUsEnsure all Hazardous Goods are held in correct areaEnsure that the Operation always runs smoothly with Locked Inventory prioritised and investigated each day.Promote the efficiencies of InventoryPromote Safe Ways of Working and H&SBe involved with Operational Meetings and BriefingsProvide a daily, weekly and Monthly Summary of activities.Monitor, measure and report all Adjustments.Ensure all Team Leaders and Controllers are given the right tools and encouragement to complete tasks and progress.Complete Appraisals on an annual basis.2 Monitor and review Training matrix, identify Training requirements and completed to minimise gaps in skill sets across shifts / contracts.3 Work with the Operation to identify and reduce any Operational Errors that affect Stock Accuracy and Customer Satisfaction.4 Assist in the preparation of Customer Stock Takes as required and implementationGeneral responsibilities1. Understand and comply with all relevant Company rules, agreements, policies, procedures and with all relevant legislative requirements and codes of practice.2. Ensure Company business is treated in the strictest confidence and not disclosed to persons outside the Company.3. Act in a professional manner, ensure good working relationships are always maintained and promote a good image of the Company4. Maintain and comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards, to be aware of the Occupational Health & Safety Management System, OHSAS18001 and to appreciate the responsibility you have to adhere to the respective procedures.5. Be aware that the Company operates a Quality Assurance system ISO 9001:2008 and adhere to the respective procedures.6. Ensure a good standard of housekeeping through observance of relevant Company policies and ensure that work areas are secure and locked when unoccupied.7. Where appropriate challenge and determine reasons for presence on site of any unauthorised person.8. Attend any development training as required in compliance with the Companys commitment to the Investors in People standard.Key working relationshipsIdentifies the most significant internal and external relationships that the role has, briefly describing the overall purpose of these relationships and the nature of the contact.Working with the Assistant General Manager, Contract Managers, OperationsManagers and Customers. The Inventory Manager should maintain positive relationships.YouAn independent thinker who will communicate well and report accurately and effectively to Management and Customers. Able to work under pressure and be able to prioritize workload and tasks. Must be able to ensure tasks are thoroughly investigated and closedeffectively. Flexible with working hours to provide cover on alternative Shifts and weekend working required too.Education & Qualifications4 GSCES or equivalentRelated qualification to Business / Inventory / FinanceExperienceOver 2 years of experience within a fast-paced Inventory environment at Management Level3 years of experience within a 3PL.Working knowledge of tasks listed above and awareness of importance.Demonstrative Project Management.Working with stock across more than 1 site (external storage)Specialist Knowledge & SkillsStrong H&S AwarenessMicrosoft Office with exemplary ExcelJDAKey User (Red Prairie)Analytical SkillsLEAN/Six Sigma AwarenessSQL JDA Database EfficientExperience of using Power BIInterpersonal & Communication SkillsStrong leadershipStrong communication skills written and orallyPeople Development and Team Building / leading SkillsAbility to work to deadlines and under pressure.
