The inventory controller will also be responsible for ensuring that the operation runs as efficientlyand as effectively as possible, with a focus on identifying process, system and stock layout improvements which will increase operational outputs.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Actively work on the warehouse floor to ensure good understanding of processesEnsure Locked Inventory is managed at least every 2 hours, or as requiredTo ensure that any auto-generated stock checks are fully investigated and clearedTo manage and monitor replenishment process and effectiveness of pick-faces, making changes where necessaryConducting empty location checksTo co-ordinate PI countsTo thoroughly investigate all queries and adjustments prior to any actionTo complete spot checks on Picking activitiesTo complete spot checks on GoodsIn activitiesProvide assistance with QC checks / VAS workInvestigate and report the reasons for unidentified inventory and return to stockEnsure all stock is in appropriate zonesSupport with reporting and data analysisTo identify and develop process, system and inventory layout improvementsTo deliver training to operatives for basic system activitiesComplete any additional task as requested by Inventory Supervisor / Operations ManagerSkill and Competencies:Able to understand and interpret datasetsAble to communicate clearly both written and verballyAble to manage and prioritise workload with ability to work to strict deadlines and timescalesAble to adapt to a fast-paced environmentExcellent Microsoft Office Skills, particularly Microsoft ExcelExperience of using CargoWrite with training to Basic Plus level or equivalentMHE experienceRT, HLOP, VNA (Desirable)
