Job Description

The role of theDigital Designer / Front End Developeris to work in accordance with brand guidelines to aid the creation of digital content, marketing, promotional, social media, on-site merchandising, email campaigns and more, a cut above the rest.Reporting to the Digital Design Manager you will work closely with the print studio and e-commerce wider teams to ensure consistency can be achieved cross platforms throughout our landing pages, promotional banners, email and social campaigns.Currently, our Digital UX Design team are working remotely, so we would provide you with the relevant software and equipment that you need to successfully work from home. Although travel maybe required to the office when we return to normal.Working as part of a close knit team, you would have the opportunity to be part of our exciting Digital Programme as we go through a rapid period of change. This role will be an essential part of a growing remote team that bring our solutions to life. You will be using some cutting-edge technologies and products.Key Skills And Experience Required

  • Highly talented and hard-working Digital Designer with4+ years experience
  • Full knowledge of Sketch
  • Experience working with HTML, CSS, Java and JavaScript
  • Create and code simple HTML, JavaScript and CSS for responsive email and banner design.
  • A full understanding of grid systems and how CSS frameworks work.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in software development, especially front end
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your work.
  • Able to formulate designs efficiently, confidently and always at a high standard
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Able to develop design concepts into high quality design solutions
  • Passionate about good design, motivated, ambitious and extremely creative
  • Strong typography, layout and technical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to translate wireframes and prototypes into final pixel perfect visuals
  • Understanding of image optimisation, and the ability to demonstrate how the website will animate/function is a bonus!
  • Design of promotional and editorial landing pages in line with brand guidelines & UX design principles.
  • Design and production of e-mail campaigns and digital assets for online marketing platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Twitter.
  • Create templates for content managed banners and components that can be utilised by online merchandisers and the wider business.
  • Keep up to date with new and emerging design trends.
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles such as typography, colour, iconography, alignment, use of grids, proximity and page layout.
  • Extensive knowledge of Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Knowledge of common design patterns

  • Attention to detail
