Job Description

Howdens are looking for a Digital Analytics and Insight Specialist to join our busy Digital Team based in our Raunds office in Northamptonshire.As a FTSE 100 business with an ambitious growth agenda, this role offers a confident and engaging Digital Analytics and Insight Specialist an excellent opportunity to define and develop analytics measures for our digital platforms and support the digitalteam with actionable insight and optimisation opportunities.What will I be doing as a Digital Analytics and Insight Specialist

  • Providing regular website reporting and insight to various levels of stakeholders across different functions in the business - including Merchandising, Content, Customer and Marketing.
  • All analysis to be translated into a meaningful, easily understood output - supported with recommendations to create added value.
  • Creating AB/MV tests based on insight gathered and analysing the outcomes.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert and providing end-user support on our primary analytics tools; Google Analytics and Contentsquare.
  • Creating and maintaining key dashboards, reports, segments, and metrics for the business.
  • Maintaining and managing site tracking and tagging within our Tag Management System.
  • Identifying and debugging data inaccuracies and fixing those issues using a Tag Management System.
  • Identifying gaps in the data and recommending what is needed.
  • Working closely with IT and Developers on the implementation of new site tags.
  • Working closely with Project and Product teams to turn and drive new business requirements into a clear, actionable analytics implementation to help support that project.
What do I need to qualify for this role
  • Previous experience in a digital analytics role
  • Extensive experience of digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Contentsquare, SimilarWeb and optimisation tools such as Optimizely
  • Excellent knowledge of Google products such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, BigQuery and Google Data Studio
  • Educated to A level or equivalent qualification
  • An in-depth knowledge of measuring digital performance, tagging and optimisation
  • Results driven and can meet deadlines
  • Experience of using tools such as SimilarWeb to monitor competitor activity
  • Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint capability
  • A strong communicator able to engage and influence key stakeholders and drive the use of analytics to support decision making
  • A self-starter and a willingness to lead by example
