You will analyse data and devise warehouse and supply chain solutions for customers as part of businessdevelopment and contract renewal projects. In this role you will be responsible for designing solutions and developing activity-based costing models for complex tenders. In this role you will support multifaceted operations based on a detailed understandingof client needs, along with contributing to the overall facility layout and design, also determining appropriate equipment to support the concept of operations.Reporting to the General Manager Business Development UK &IE you will provide effective proposal support through the delivery of operationally sound and pragmatic warehouse solutions. You will manage the tender process from RFI through to RFQ and will beinvolved in the collection, data gap identification and final data analysis which will support and underpin the solution design. Customer contact at all levels through to the presentation stage will already be natural to you.You will be comfortable with most industry sectors and their route to market and will already be aware of the focus required to succeed by the development of ECOM solutions. You will understand the relationship of process flow, data analysis, benchmarking, operational input, WMS, and how all these things need to come together to create the best optimised and flexible solutions for our customers.Our ideal candidate will already have solutions design experience within the 3PL market or via in-house operations. You will have a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and understand layouts, inventory analysis, inbound flows and picking methodologies.Duties and Responsibilities Analyse data, determine assumptions based on referral to existing customers and discuss these internally and with prospects Design of complete and correct cost models and P&L analyses for tenders. Detect possible improvements in logistical processes Design (improvements in) logistical processes Communication with prospects and customers to get insight in their wishes and demands in their supply chain Communication with other departments in order to achieve the best possible concepts Design and presentation of warehouse processes and determination of costs involved Participation in meetings/ calls with prospects and customers Design and present several different logistical solutions to offer in tenders Keep up with latest trends and innovations in warehousing and logistics Analysing, designing and improving warehouse-, supply chain- and logistic processes Effectuation of cost models and P&L analyses for both new and existing operations Represent the Business Development Team at customer meetings Customer communications, presentations and proposals Guidance of new-business implementationsSkills and Qualifications Desirable Education: degree qualified- Experience:3 years of logistics / warehouse operational experience with ideally a varied experience in logistics roleso Or 5 years of Business Development Experienceo Experience in multiple warehouse automation applicationso E-commerce experience including starting up small to large volume solutionso Experience in implementation Specialist Knowledge & Skillso Diligent use of activity-based costing modelso Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Work, Power Point and Visio)o Centre of Gravity tools experienceo Insight into a Warehouse Management Systems allowing for understanding of system capabilities Interpersonal & Other Skillso Exceptional analytical skills, high level accuracy and attention to detailo Interpersonal communication and language skillso Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneouslyo Able to develop and deliver presentations to managers and executiveso Keeps informed of technical changes and industry trends
