Job Description

Howdens Joinery are looking to appoint a BI Delivery Manager to lead the Information Management team.Reporting to the Head of Information Data and Analysis and leading a team of 6 analysts you will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the team, whilst also shaping and driving forward the roadmap of reporting transition and modernisation of reportingacross the group.The Information Management team manage, prepare, analyse, and instruct change though other teams, in order to implement new reporting data sources or augment existing solutions principally through an SAP BW/Business Objects/SAC framework.You will have extensive experience in managing SAP business objects operations or similar in a large commercial setting alongside a strong track record of incident management and resolution, stakeholder management, people management, mentoring and drivingexcellence.A knowledge of SAP DWC, SAP SAC, data structures, BI tool implementation, and change management would also be ideal attributes for this role.Role Responsibilities

  • Promote BI services and drive the roadmap for reporting modernisation across the group
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders and senior managers within Howdens
  • Support and lead both internal and external resource as required
  • Write and speak fluently on all aspects of work and communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Consult with specialists in areas such as BI development, data management, communications, and service delivery and balance their recommendations against the requirements of the situation
  • Provide guidance to the users on reporting strategy using the BI toolset.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments in the BI field
  • Project Management of BI work packages using Howdens methodology
We are looking for:
  • Strong BI background (5+ years working in BI)
  • Strong SAP knowledge
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
  • Experience in working in technically complex environments and politically challenging environments
  • Able to assess and manage risk
  • Effective leadership and people management skills
  • Used to operating at a senior level with strong stakeholder management capabilities
