Job Description

ASC (Autism support) Teaching AssistantRamsbottom (BL0)As an ASC Support Teaching Assistant within this school, you will gain a rewarding role whereby you will have the opportunity to positivity impact the learning, development and lives of pupils who struggle to engage within their normal classes.

  • Full time ASC Support Teaching Assistant
  • Temporary post starting November 2022 until May 2023, the potential for an extension
  • Working hours (8.30am3:30pm)
This ASC Support Teaching Assistant role is at a Good primary school in the Bury area (BL0) who are looking for an ASC support worker. You will be responsible for providing support with a small number of the children within KS1.This role requires someone who has experience of working with children with ASC, whether its on the verbal or nonverbal spectrum. A school looking to become a good and outstanding school in the future, this is a great place to work, with a friendly environmentand a hard-working ethic. This is a great opportunity and one which could lead to a schools permanent contract. You would be working closely with the school SENCO to help aid learning in school as much as possible.Applicant requirements;
  • Year 1 pupil with ASCChallenging Behaviours, non-verbal, communication issues.
  • Year 2 pupilComplex ASC needs, non-verbal, repetitive, visual learner.
  • Working closely with the SENCO and inclusion lead.
  • Supporting learning in class and outside of the classroom in key stage 1.
  • Support with access to the key stage 1 SATS.
