Job Description

Primary Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant- Ramsbottom (Bury) (BL0)Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant on behalf of a primary school in the Ramsbottom area of Bury, which has a small population of SEND pupils in the school. This role is to start in September 2022 and will be running until theend of the Summer Term 2023, with the opportunity to secure a school based contract.The school is a small sized mainstream primary of 230 pupils, with a population of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Difficulties.To be considered for this role, it is essential you have experience working with young people that have special needs (SEN) with a great understanding of Autism (ASD)The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience with Autism - either professionally or personally e.g. a family member
  • Be resilient and confident with challenging behaviour
  • Have a nurturing personality and be non-judgemental
  • Be able to follow instructions and be pro-active
  • Adhere to the school safeguarding policies
  • Have a passion to work with children
  • Ideally have experience working with Primary School aged children
