Job Description

My client is a growing Accountancy firm. They have a relaxed dress down working environment. Based in a friendly and supportive team near Bury you will be working on a portfolio of clients. Our client is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join them on a permanent basisJob DescriptionThe position could be either full time or part time.Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of weekly and monthly payroll on behalf of the companys clients.Desirable skills and attributes:

  • Excellent Excel
  • Must have exceptional payroll knowledge answering queries
  • They would like someone to be autonomous - ideally worked in a bureau
  • Experience implementing basic processs
  • Advise on moving to new software
  • Help to automate some processs
  • Payroll: 3 years (Required)
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Strong initiative
  • Experience processing multiple payrolls
  • Role Responsibilities:
  • 60/70 wkly payrolls
  • 250 monthly - 50% director only
  • Timesheets
  • Process payroll as per client requirements
  • Monthly/weekly distribution of staff wages
  • Maintain payroll records
  • Ensure processes and procedures follow current regulations
  • Respond and resolve queries from employees and management relating to payroll
  • Calculate wages and deductions
  • Liaison with HMRC
  • Calculate tax and NI
  • Set up and process new employees
  • Issue tax forms to staff
  • Process auto enrolment
