Job Description

Our client, based in Greater Manchester, is currently recruiting for a Housing Officer on a temporary basis until the end of March.The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis with 37 hours a week. The successful candidate must have experience of generic tenancy management and hold a full UK Driving License.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible.Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Responsible for tenancy management of identified neighbourhoods, their environment and customers within a patch of 4-500 properties
  • Inspect neighbourhoods on a planned basis, dealing with all issues identified including untidy gardens, open areas, fly tipping, litter graffiti, repairs, abandoned vehicles, abandoned properties, dog fouling, vandalism etc
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive working relationships between all relevant internal teams in order to ensure the delivery of a first class, seamless customer service
  • Carry out viewings, signups and the lettings process
  • Deal with low level ASB enforcement and safeguarding concerns
  • Conduct visits to residents’ homes as required to carry out property inspections, tenancy audits and address any tenancy related issues including arrears, assignments, conversions, pre-tenancy termination visits and to collect keys at tenancy end
  • Draft and served warnings, NTQs, NOSPs and ABCs
  • Effectively liaise with various organisations including Police, Social Services and support bodies
  • Working hours:
  • 37 hours per week
  • 75% working from home
  • Monday - Friday
  • 9 to 5 but hours flexible
