L1-2 SEN Teaching AssistantClosing date: 10th DecemberThe Aurora Group: The Aurora Group is an innovative provider of education and care for children and young people with special educational needs anddisabilities.Aurora White House SchoolAurora White House School in Quidenham, Norwich are looking for a part time Teaching Assistant. The school provides flexible day placements for students aged 6 to 11 years with communication and associated difficulties or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. Some may be on the autistic spectrum or haveanxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning.To take a virtual look around our school please click here: Eccles Virtual TourThe Role:The purpose of the Teaching Assistant is to support the children with their learning andcare whilst in school and other settings.As well as developing and delivering personalised learning, you will work with colleagues to support pupils with their daily routines, transitions and positive behaviour management.Atailored approach to the individualchild ensures that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential in a caring and safe environment. The Teaching Assistant will need to support the Class Teacher with the day to day running of the class.This is an exciting opportunity todevelop your career whilst you help shape and develop our provision to achieve this.Key Duties:

  • GCSE Maths and English Level 4/C or above qualification is essential.
  • Level 2 - 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or working towards).
  • Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Knowledge and experience of pupils with SEMH, ASD.
Due to the location of the school, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
