Stock Manager - Carpets - Purfleet, Essex (Hybrid working- 3 days in office)This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and customer obsessed Stock Manager/Retail Merchandiser to join our Stock Control Team here at Carpetright. Youll be managing a small team of stock planners and will take the lead on managing the stockpurchasing and allocation for all Soft Flooring products in-line with company objectives, working in close collaboration with your buying colleagues.About The Role:

  • Forecasting range/sku level sales to be used for the purposes of stock management
  • Management of stock purchasing from Soft Flooring suppliers in line with the sales and product forecasts
  • Forecast category sales and margin for the budget and subsequent re-forecasting processes
  • Manage and develop your team of Stock Planners
  • Deputise for the Head of Stock Control when required
  • Work closely with Soft Flooring Buying Team to ensure excellent availability for promotional activity
  • Communication with suppliers to maximise availability and ensure efficient stock flows
About You:
  • Computer literate and comprehensively skilled in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, V/HLOOKUP, SUMIF(S), COUNTIF(S), INDEX+MATCH) with good understanding of other Microsoft Office software
  • Solid merchandising/stock control management experience and ownership for a category/product area
  • Previous experience in a Stock Management Control or Merchandiser role ideally within an omnichannel retail environment
  • Experience managing a small team within stock control/allocation/product merchandising
