A Road Freight Import operator is required by a major UK and International freight forwarder to dea with import road freight shipments and import customer services, for general accounts and larger key account customers. It is dealing with overseas partners, regarding deliveries and trailers, arranging deliveries once customs cleared. Arranging offloading of trailers at the UK depots and sending instruction for warehouse for offloading for customs procedures. Arranging collections with overseas partners. Chasing customs depts for customs clearances, Booking deliveries, dealing with all UK depots regarding delivering.ROLE: Road Freight Import operatorLOCATION: EssexBASIC SALary: £25K TO £26KROLE:The person will work as a part of the import team and arrange shipments from Europe to UK based customers, by use of the existing road-freight and distribution network across Europe, along with internal UK distribution and warehousing departments.The role will involve communicating with the local DSV depots across the UK and Europe to ensure deliveries are done in accordance with our customers’ requirements. There will also be a degree of customer services involved with direct communication to the customer(s)EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Applicant would ideally have recent industry experience with previous involvement in Customer service, including experience in Road Freight import,or sea freight as they will have worked with 40ft trailers, pallets, etc Required skills
