Job Description

Location: PurfleetSalary: 32,000-35,000We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team in Purfleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll for our employees and ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages.Responsibilities:

  • Processing payroll for all employees, including calculating salaries and wages, deductions, and overtime payments
  • Maintaining accurate records of employee attendance, absences, and leave entitlements
  • Handling payroll queries and resolving any issues in a timely manner
  • Preparing and submitting payroll reports to management as required
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, including taxation and superannuation requirements
  • Liaising with other departments and external stakeholders as required
About you:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of payroll processing and compliance requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including taxation and superannuation requirements
  • Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality work
