Job Description

Job Title: Payroll ManagerLocation: PurfleetSalary: 50000We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team based in Purfleet. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the payroll function of the company, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the payroll function of the company
  • Ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time
  • Maintain accurate records of employee hours worked, wages, and deductions
  • Manage and process monthly payroll for employees
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Respond to payroll-related queries from employees in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure all payroll-related reports are produced accurately and in a timely manner
  • Provide support to HR and Finance teams as required
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role
  • Professional payroll certification (e.g. CPP, CPM) is desirable but the experience is more important
  • Good understanding of payroll legislation and regulations
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Current knowledge of UK payroll procedures and related legislation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Excel
