Main ResponsibilitiesJob Title: Finance Manager - Hybrid Working - 3 Month FTC to support transformation of management accountingOnline and in-stores across the country, our experts are bringing customers dreams to life. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience and be a qualified accountantwith advanced Excel skills with D365 and Hyperion experience. We already know the areas that you will add most value for change and support, so you will have a head start.As the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the production of the monthly performance packs with analysis of income and costs, reviewing performance, and undertaking variance analysis with budget holders, and producing monthly P&Land KPI reports. You will also be responsible for providing analytical support to the business to aid decision making, producing budgets and forecasts for specific cost lines, and reviewing budgets and forecasts for central cost centres.In order to thrive in this position, it is essential to rapidly grasp the inner workings of Carpetrights Management Accounts function and devise strategies for streamlining and optimizing it. You must be able to develop and maintain effective relationshipsat all levels in the organization and have good inter-personal and negotiation skills. In addition, possessing robust analytical capabilities to detect patterns, provide recommendations, and being a self-motivated individual with a proactive mindset are essentialtraits for this role.Measures of success for this role include accurate period end results with full analytical review, timely and accurate management accounting, clear and effective reporting to support decision making, improvements to the efficiency of producing accounts andaccounting procedures, accuracy of budgets and forecasts, effective internal controls with no major incidents, and external audits delivered to time with appropriate analysis and query resolution.This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person - to make an impact quickly, work with a collaborative team across all levels. We operate hybrid working which means some days in the office and flexible working at other times.If you are a qualified accountant with at least 3 years of experience, have existing D365 and Hyperion system skills, and can review accounting methodology for creating accruals and journals to simplify production, we would love to hear from you.
