Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is an award winning Trust, providing health and social care services. The Trust operates district community and inpatient mental health services in Bolton, Salford and Trafford as well as specialist mental health services across the North West. We also offer local alcohol and drug services throughout several boroughs of Greater Manchester and Lancashire, as well as regional inpatient services.We are currently recruiting experienced nurses at Band 6 level , It is essential for this post that you must be a qualified practitioner in Mental health or Learning Disability Nursing. Team Leaders are active members of the ward management team providing line management and clinical supervision to a defined group of staff, including appraisal and monitoring of clinical practice standards. Deliver effective clinical leadership to support the staff team, acting as a positive role model in coaching staff members and providing clear direction and support. The position requires an individual who is able to lead, motivate and manage nurses working as Primary Nurses within a medium or low secure environment.As a senior ward nurse team leaders provide support and leadership to registered nurses and ward based staff to engage effectively with MDT members.The team leaders will participate in a rota to ensure senior nurse leadership and operational management of the Service out of hours with the support of the on call rota.The team leaders will pro-actively contribute to service and practice development initiatives within the Directorate Business Plan which is a reflection of local and national developments.Key Requirements of the Post Holder:Up-to-date NMC registration as a first level mental health nurse RNMH/LDEvidence of post registration development.Have recent experience of working within and supporting staff to deliver care to patients who are complex and have challenging needs in order to demonstrate the required understanding of risk management.Have recent experience of working proactively within a multi-disciplinary team.For further details / informal visits contact:NameTerence StrongAdditional contact informationTerry Strong - Operational ManagerTel:
