Langdon UK has an exciting opportunity for Support Workers to join their growing team in Prestwich, Manchester.Location: Prestwich, ManchesterSalary: £9.60-£10.00 depending on qualificationsContract Type: Full time (37.5 hrs/ week), Part-time and Zero HoursAbout Us:Langdon was founded 30 years ago and we now help over 100 young Jewish people with learning disabilities by providing education, supported living and employment services. Whilst we support the Jewish community, we celebrate and benefit from the diversityof the communities in which we are based and welcome applicants from all backgroundsSupport WorkerKey Responsibilities:- To assist in supporting Individuals in designing and developing their support/care plans and reviews- To assist and support Individuals to achieve goals that link to the Langdon Mission- To contribute to the monitoring of Individuals progress, assessment and maintain records.- To be responsible for reading and working to Langdon Policy & Procedure, with particular regard to the Jewish Ethos and CultureSupport WorkerYou:- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent- You must have a good standard of written English- Previous experience of working with adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Aspergers Syndrome is desirable but not essential- Full training will be given to the successful applicantSupport Workers will be required to work individually and as part of a team to support and enable individuals to live as independently as possible by assisting individuals to develop new and existing skills.
