Job Description

  • Proactively plans and manages specific allocated categories ensuring compliance with procurement and customer schedules.
  • Drives, manages, and analyses comprehensive and complex data gathering on products and suppliers to support portfolio and category analysis.
  • Ensures on-going contract management and supplier liaison is specified in accordance with procurement principles and practice.
  • Ensure procurement principles and policies are implemented within the relevant NHS Organisation and own practice. This will require ongoing discussions which are sensitive to the NHS Organisations requirements ensuring they fully understand the relevanttechnical complexities and legalities. This may require the post holder to influence and educate customers.
Youll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
  1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  2. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
Youll have the following skills/experience:
  • Proven experience as a Specification Writer, documenting complex technical processes, create construction manuals and write assembly instructions.
  • Qualified to CIPS Level 5 (Advanced Diploma) or equivalent CIPS Knowledge/Experience or Procurement or business-related Degree or equivalent skills and abilities.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously - ability to effectively plan, meet demanding deadlines, balance complex stakeholder needs.
