Howarth Morris are currently recruiting for an Interim UK Regional Controller for a global manufacturing business in Merseyside. The role has been created to provide cover for a period of 3 months, however, this could be extended.Job Profile:The UK Regional Controller is responsible for the companys financial reporting, accounting, controllership and compliance functions, including the enforcement of policy and procedure, for all sites in the UK. This individual will interact directly with seniormanagement.Key Responsibilities:* Responsible for leading a team of 3 accountants, ensuring accurate recording of complex accounting transactions.* Manage annual internal balance sheet review.* Preparation of Statutory financial statements.* Partner with Tax team to complete UK tax reporting.* Work with external auditors and advisors to ensure transparency.* Ensure company policy and procedure is compliant with USGAAP, Local GAAP, and credit agreement requirements.* Point of contact for local ERP management (SAP) and consolidated reporting.* Complete internal representation letter process.* Monitor account reconciliations documents and Open Item Tracking.* Assist Corporate in preparing any necessary documents in support of external reporting required under local laws and credit agreements.* Company secretary duties.* Pension reporting.* UK insurance lead.Candidate Requirements:* Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent.* Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent.* Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting, audit, and controllership.* Experience managing a team.* Demonstrated ability to lead change and drive execution.* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills needed to effectively share and engage the global organization in key strategic initiatives.* Experience with SOX would be advantageous.
